Please be reminded that no law enforcement official will call your home asking for money, money orders, or anything related to a money transaction. If you get a call, please contact PPD (595-0208) or ACSO (361-2500) to report it. Anything of this nature should be investigated and your reports will make that possible. Thank you.

Trash & Garbage Update

Thanksgiving Holiday Sanitation Schedules

City offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27th and Friday, November 278th. No garbage or trash will be collected on Thursday. Thursday and Friday household garbage routes will be collected on Friday, November 28th.

On Wednesday, November 26th, Sanitation will run normal Wednesday residential trash (yard debris) routes and begin Thursday residential trash (yard debris) routes. On Friday, November 28th, Sanitation crews will finish Thursday routes and run normal Friday residential trash (yard debris) routes.

If your Thursday trash is not collected on Wednesday, please let us know. If you have any questions or issues regarding Sanitation service, please direct those to Public Works Director Randy Lucas at 334-595-0481.

City Council District 5 Vacancy

Due to the newly created vacancy in City Council District 5, the Prattville City Council will begin the process of filling the vacated seat. The Council is accepting letters of intent from interested citizens of District 5. Applicants must be a qualified elector of the municipality and a resident of District 5 for at least 90 days. Interested citizens must submit a letter of intent and a one-page resume outlining their interest, background, and community involvement to the City Clerk between Monday, December 1, 2014 and 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2014.

Historic Preservation Commission Meeting Change

The Historic Preservation Commission has rescheduled its regular scheduled on December 25, 2014 meeting to Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 4:30 p.m.

NOTE: The submission deadline for the December 11, 2014 is November 26, 2014.
