Prattville Plans Voting Events for Splashpad Grant

The Prattville City Council and Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr. have planned a variety of events over the next few days to encourage the community to rally together to help Pratt Park win the $100,000 "America is Your Park" grant from Coca Cola.

Thursday, July 12th- The public is invited to come out to Pratt Park from 6:30-8:30pm to vote. Vote Pratt Park team members will be on site in the large pavilion assisting people with their devices and checking to make sure they are voting correctly. The Pratt Pool will be open with $1 admission and there will be a karaoke and dance party with Sweet P and Big Papa from Kool Classic Hits 95.5.

Saturday, July 14th- The public is invited to come to the Vote-a-Thon event at both locations of Jose's Cantina from 6pm-1am. Vote Pratt Park team members will be on site assisting people with their devices and checking to make sure they are voting correctly.

Sunday, July 15th- The public is invited to the "Vote for Pratt Park" party at Pratt Park amphitheater from 2:00-4:00pm. There will be continuous flash-mob voting and everyone is invited to come enjoy live entertainment from local musician, Tristan Powell. Chiller fans and misting tents will be available to help beat the heat and Pratt Pool will be open from 1:00-5:00pm with $2 admission! Vote Pratt Park team members will be at the Pratt Park Pavilion until 6:30pm. Afterwards they will move to the Doster Center to continue voting until the contest is over at 10:59 p.m. and the public is invited to attend. Sunday, July 15th is the last day for the contest.
