PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
TUESDAY, MAY 4, 2004

The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, May 4th at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Roll was called and all were recorded as being present.

AGENDA ITEM

1. RESOLUTION: REQUEST TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED AT AND ADJACENT TO 1173 UPPER KINGSTON ROAD FROM R-2 TO R-5.

David Knight, owner of property at1173 Upper Kingston Road, Prattville, AL 36067, appeared before the Council to urge support for the proposed rezoning.

Clyde Chambliss, owner of Chambliss Engineering was available for questions the Council may have regarding the rezoning. Mr. Chambliss stated that the back of the property is currently zoned R-2 (single family dwelling) and R-3 (multi family dwelling). He further stated that the purpose for the proposed R-5 rezoning would be to allow construction of patio homes, which may be built on narrow lots.

No one appeared in opposition to the proposed rezoning.

ADJOURNMENT:

There being no further discussion, Councilman Macready made the motion to adjourn and the motion was seconded. The meeting closed at 6:10 p.m.
