PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
TUESDAY, JUNE 1, 2004

The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, June 1st at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Roll was called and Councilman Argo was recorded as being absent.

AGENDA ITEM

1. RESOLUTION: REQUEST TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED OFF OF GREYSTONE WAY AND WEST OF PEBBLE CREEK DRIVE FROM R-4 TO R-5.

No one appeared in favor of, or opposition to, the proposed rezoning.

During discussion, Councilman Carter expressed his concerns regarding the drainage ditch that runs along the property and recommended that it be a paved ditch.

Councilman Hall assured Councilman Carter that as a member of the Planning Commission, there has been much more emphasis placed on drainage issues than there has been in years past. He further stated that he appreciated Councilman Carter’s opinion and concerns for the drainage issue.

City Planner Joel Duke echoed Councilman Hall’s comments regarding the Planning Commission’s stand on the proper way to construct the drainage ditch for the area. He also stated that this issue would be handled in such a way that best suits the needs and requirements of the property.

Councilman Hall left the Council Chambers at 6:10 p.m.

There being no further discussion, the meeting closed at 6:11 p.m.
