PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
TUESDAY, JULY 6, 2004
6:00 P.M.

1. ORDINANCE: Request to Rezone Property Located off of Red Eagle Road and Northington Road from FAR to R-1.

Tara Chambliss, 1756 Plantersville Court, appeared before the Council to ask for its support regarding the rezoning. Councilman Hall asked if this was a continuation of what is already there, and she stated that it was, it is Phase V. City Planner Joel Duke advised the Council that the Planning Commission recommended the rezoning.

2. ORDINANCE: Request to Rezone Property Located off of Old Ridge Road and adjacent to Hollybrooke Subdivision from R-2 to R-3.

No one appeared in favor of or in opposition to this Ordinance.

City Planner Joel Duke presented the Council with a handout Planned Unit Development (PUD) Overlay Zoning District Approval Process and the current City Code for PUD. He requested a work session to discuss the process and possible changes. Mr. Duke also suggested that they travel to another City and observe a development by USX and the possibility of implementing something similar in our community.

ADJOURNMENT:

Councilman Miller made the motion to adjourn and the motion was seconded. The meeting closed at 6:17 p.m.
