PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2004
6:00 P.M.

The Prattville City Council met in Public Hearing on September 7th at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Roll was called and all were recorded as being present.

Councilman Miller left the Council Chambers at 6:03 p.m. and returned at 6:06 p.m.

AGENDA ITEMS

1. ORDINANCE: REQUEST TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED IN SCENIC HILLS SUBDIVISION FROM FAR TO R-3.

No one appeared before the Council in favor of or opposition to the Request to Rezone.

City Planner Joel Duke stated that due to the proposed area having only one entrance and exit road, the Planning Commission had recommended that the request be denied at this time. Mr. Duke clarified that R-3 would compare to Pecan Ridge in reference to how close together houses may be built.

Mr. Duke also stated that the Planning Commission may possibly consider the request in the future if improvements are made regarding an additional access road.

2. ORDINANCE: REQUEST TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1110 EAST MAIN STREET FROM R-2 TO 0-1.

No one appeared in favor of or opposition to the proposed rezoning.

Mr. Duke stated that the Planning Commission approved of the request which would allow for commercial office space.

There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Hall made the motion to adjourn and the motion was seconded. The meeting closed at 6:25 p.m.
