PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
MONDAY, MARCH 28, 2005
6:00 P.M.

The Prattville City Council met in Public Hearing on Monday, March 28th at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall with Council President Argo presiding. Roll was called and Councilmen Miller and Fank were recorded as being absent.

Councilman Argo informed everyone that the purpose of the meeting was to allow public comment regarding the proposed annexation of certain properties, which would square up the boundaries of the city limits. He further stated that on February 15th the Prattville City Council passed Resolution Book 2005, Page 028 “To Request a Local Legislative Act for Proposed Annexation.” He explained that a bill to be introduced during the Legislative Session would be drafted by State Representative Mac Gipson. If the bill passes, it would go before the citizens of Prattville for a vote. The vote of the people would determine if the annexation passes.

In closing, Councilman Argo stated that the map on display is a map in progress. He further stated that additional meetings would be held for public comment.

ADJOURN:

There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Macready made the motion to adjourn and the motion was seconded. The meeting closed at 7:10 p.m.
