| PRATTVILLE CITY COUNCIL CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, November 7th at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Council President Pro Tempore Miller called the meeting to order. Roll was called and Council President Argo was recorded as being absent. AGENDA 1. RESOLUTION: TO DECLARE VARIOUS WEEDED LOTS TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING THEIR ABATEMENT PER §11-67-1 ET, SEQ., OF THE CODE OF ALABAMA, 1975, AS AMENDED. No one appeared in favor of or opposition to the Resolution. City Planner Joel Duke stated that with the exception of the vacant lot in College Heights, owned by Willie and Ola Mae Marvin, 491 County Road 82, Prattville, AL 36067, and the property located at 501 Chambliss Street, owned by Dorothy Murphy, all other properties have been brought into compliance. 2. RESOLUTION: TO GRANT A LOUNGE RETAIL LIQUOR LICENSE CLASS I FOR HOWARD ROGERS, III, D/B/A CABANA. No one appeared in favor of the license application. Councilman Macready stated that Mr. Rogers had been informed to attend the public hearing. Police Chief Alfred Wadsworth appeared before the Council to state that he had received two phone calls from concerned citizens who live near the Cabana. He further stated that they were opposed to the opening of the Cabana but did not want to appear at the public hearing out of fear for their safety. Chief Wadsworth also stated that the opening of the business would increase police calls considerably. ADJOURN: There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Gillespie made a motion to adjourn and Councilman Macready seconded the motion.
