CALL TO ORDER: The Prattville City Council met in public hearing on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Council President Argo called the meeting to order. Roll was called and all were recorded as being present. AGENDA
1. RESOLUTION: TO VACATE RIGHT OF WAY OF PROPERTY PREVIOUSLY PLATTED & DEDICATED FOR HIGH POINT
Derrick Meadows, appeared before the Council as Representative of AIG Baker, in favor of the request. City Planner Joel Duke stated that this request has been approved by the Prattville Planning Commission, the Alabama Department of Transportation, and the Federal Highway Administration. Mr. Duke stated that by moving the right of way, relief valves are created by allowing a “right in and a right out” on the service road, which enhances the traffic flow. He further reminded the Council that this particular area had been previously platted, which prevents alterations of any type from being made without Council approval. No one appeared in opposition to the request. ADJOURN:
There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Macready made a motion to adjourn and the motion was seconded. The meeting closed at 6:15 p.m. APPROVED:
