PRATTVILLE CITY COUNCIL
WORK SESSION MINUTES
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2008

The Prattville City Council held a work session on Monday, September 8^th at 5:30 p.m. at the Doster Community Center, 424 South Northington Street, Prattville, AL 36067.

The meeting was called to order by Council President Dean Argo. Mayor Byard and City Attorney David McDowell were recorded as being present as well as the following department heads: Robby Anderson, Edward Clinton, Kenny DeRamus, Joel Duke, Stanley Gann, Jamie Hatfield, DiDi Henry, Rod Morgan, Drew Peterson, Gina P. Smith, Nap Steele, Lisa Thrash, Alfred Wadsworth and George Williams. There was no representation from the media present.

The purpose of the meeting was for discussion of the FY 2008-2009 budget.

Other topics of discussion during the work session were as follows:

(1) How and when funding is allocated for the Autauga-Prattville Public Library and other non-profit agencies.

(2)The Mayor announced that a designated committee will meet within the next week regarding city sidewalks.

(3)The status and future plans regarding drainage issues on Northington Street.

(4)Recent questions from citizens regarding the rental of city owned facilities with the addition of liability insurance fees.

(5) Shared cost among councilmembers, of yearbook and sports program ads.

(6) Illegal placement of and the removal of campaign signs.

ADJOURN:

There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Fank made a motion to adjourn and the motion was seconded. The meeting closed at 7:52 p.m.
