PRATTVILLE CITY COUNCIL
WORK SESSION MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 8, 2009

The Prattville City Council held a work session on Tuesday, September 8^th at 5:30 p.m. at Doster Community Center, 424 South Northington Street, Prattville, AL 36067.

The meeting was called to order by Council President Argo. All councilmen were recorded as being present. Mayor Byard and City Attorney David McDowell were recorded as being present. The following department heads were also in attendance: City Engineer Robby Anderson, Information Director Brad Belden, Sanitation Director Edward Clinton, Wastewater Superintendent Kenny DeRamus, Planning Director Joel Duke, Finance Director Rod Morgan, Leisure Services Director, Drew Peterson, City Clerk Gina P. Smith, Vehicle Maintenance Director Napoleon Steele, Human Resources Director Lisa Thrash, Police Chief Alfred Wadsworth, and Street Superintendent George Williams. Deputy Fire Chief Terry Brown attended the meeting in place of Fire Chief Stanley Gann who was out of the country.

Municipal Court Chief Magistrate Charlotte Adair was recorded as being absent.

The media was represented by Marty Roney with the Montgomery Advertiser and by Marc and Melinda Parker with the on-line magazine “Our Prattville.com.”

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Mayor’s proposed FY 2009-2010 budget.

Councilman Boles left the meeting at 6:35 p.m. due to a family obligation.

ADJOURN:

Councilman Fank made a motion to adjourn and the motion was seconded. The meeting closed at 6:50 p.m.
