PRATTVILLE CITY COUNCIL
WORK SESSION MINUTES
MONDAY, JUNE 13, 2011

The Prattville City Council held a work session on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 101 W. Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067.

The meeting was called to order by Council President Mike Renegar. Councilmen Argo, Miller, Boles and Fank were recorded as being absent. Council President Renegar reported that they were each out of town on business. Councilman Miller arrived at 6:05 p.m. City Attorney David McDowell, Mayor Gillespie and his Executive Secretary Jamie Moncrief were recorded as being present as well as the following department heads: Interim Finance Director Doug Moseley, Interim City Clerk Stephanie J. Southerland, City Planner Joel Duke, City Engineer Robby Anderson, Information Technology Director Brad Belden, Interim Fire Chief Terry Brown, Interim Police Chief Tim Huggins, Cultural Arts Director Kellie Cook, Interim Vehicle Maintenance Director Kenny Rawlinson, Interim Wastewater Director Rick Teague, Human Resources Director Lisa Thrash, Municipal Court Magistrate Charlotte Adair, Sanitation Director Edward Clinton, Leisure Services Director Drew Peterson. Council President Renegar reported that Councilmen Argo and Fank were out of the city on business and could not attend the work session.

The media was represented by Marty Roney with the Montgomery Advertiser.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the following agenda items held from the June 7, 2011 City Council meeting:

1. RESOLUTION: To Award Bid #011-001 to Cornerstone Civil Contractors, LLC for the Aeration Basin Improvements at Autauga Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in the Amount of $178,164.93.

2. RESOLUTION: To Adjust the Fiscal Year 2011 General Operating Fund Budget.

3. RESOLUTION: To Authorize the Mayor to Enter into a Contract for Services with Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood for a Wastewater Study, with a cost not to exceed $3,000.00.

There was also discussion of the possibilities to purchase property on County Road 4 from the Rice Estate by the City of Prattville and the Industrial Development Board.
