Accident Involving Three Year Old Pedestrian PDF Print E-mail
The Prattville Police Department around 12 noon responded to A&J Car Wash at 501 E. Main Street in reference to a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. A three year old had run from a car wash bay into the rear passenger side of a truck and then run over by the rear wheel of the truck. The three year old from Autaugaville was transported in serious condition to Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery. The child is being transferred to the Children’s Hospital in Birmingham. The truck had dropped off a trailer and was going across the parking lot when the accident occurred. The driver did not see the child, only felt a bump and then stopped. Although the accident is still under investigation, no charges are expected to be filed concerning this accident.
