Art Camp

DATES: June 1-5 or June 8-12
This fun and creative art camp will feature a variety of projects, including painting and drawing, clay sculpture, mixed media and collage, and more. Classes will start at 10am and will end at 3pm. Students should bring their lunch. Cost of this week-long art camp is $150 and all supplies and a light snack will be provided ($250 for both weeks). Space is limited and preregistration is required. Way Off Broadway Theatre Camp

The Way Off Broadway Theatre will holds its Summer Youth Theatre Camp June 22-27, 2015, in Prattville. This fun theatre camp will teach theatre basics, including acting, directing, production, costuming, and more, and is great for children in grades K-12.

This year's camp will culminate with a production of the play The Pint Sized Pirate, by Doug Larson and with permission from Doug Larson and Directing the play and the camp is Joyce Bamman of Troy University, assisted by Samantha Scheler.

"This camp not only teaches about the different aspects of the theatre, but it also helps to boost self-confidence and teaches teamwork," according to Barbara Simpson of the Cultural Arts and Special Events Office for the City of Prattville.

The camp will meet from 10am-3pm Monday through Friday, June 22-26, and the students will present their play, The Pint Sized Pirate, on Saturday, June 27. The cost is $75.
