Prattville will be full of fun and creativity this summer as it holds its annual Summer Youth Art and Theatre Camps. These camps will offer a great chance for children to express their creativity and have fun doing it!
Way Off Broadway Theatre’s summer camps have been very successful in the past and this year they are offering two different camps. The first camp will be held June 13-18 and will be for children in grades K-6. Students will learn all aspects of the theatre, from set and costume design to acting, directing, and much more. The camp will end with a performance on Saturday, June 18.
The week of July 11 through 16, students in grades 7-12 can attend the senior youth theatre camp. This camp will include all aspects of the theatre but will be more advanced than the earlier camp and also will end with a performance on Saturday, July 16.
Prattauga Art Guild will offer two camps as well during the weeks of June 20-25 and July 18-23. Each of these camps will offer projects in a variety of art media, with different projects each day. They will learn about different mediums and processes. There will be a reception and exhibit of the children’s artwork created at the camps on Saturday, June 25, for the first camp and Saturday, July 23, for the second camp.
The cost of each of the camps is only $75! This is a great opportunity for children to spend time with their peers and let their creativity flow. These camps will help with their ability to work with other children, will help build self-confidence and will enhance cognitive and creative skills.
Space is limited in ALL camps and registration is required. Register your child for one or more of these wonderful children’s summer activities.
