The Prattville Police Department responded to an alarm call Tuesday morning to find a truck inside the building. Police officers responded to the Big Ten Tire Store on East Main Street around 2:10 a.m. and found a 2003 Ford F-150 with the driver inside that had crashed through the front wall of the building. The driver of the vehicle was Donald Ian Lee (45 years of age) of 1208 Kenwood Court in Prattville. Paramedics also responded to the accident and Mr. Lee refused medical treatment. The front of the building received extensive damage.

Around 6:00 p.m. that evening, Prattville paramedics responded to Donald Ian Lee’s residence at 1208 Kenwood Court and transported him to Prattville Baptist Emergency Room. Mr. Lee was then transported to Baptist South in Montgomery where he died around 10:30 p.m. His body has been taken to the State of Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy to be performed. Investigation into his death is continuing.
