If you enter a plea of "not guilty", or any other plea, you will receive a court order in Municipal Court of the date and time of your trial. If you are indigent and request a court-appointed attorney, and the Court is of the opinion that a conviction may result in a jail term as a part of your penalty, the Court will appoint an attorney to represent you without charge to you.

*INSURANCE CITATIONS – If you had proof of insurance at the time you were issued the citation but could not locate it or did not have it in the car at the time of the issuance of the citation, you can bring in proof of such and the case will be dismissed. HOWEVER, if you did not have insurance at the time of the issuance of the citation, it is court appearance required and YOU MUST APPEAR IN COURT ON YOUR COURT DATE, EVEN IF YOU OBTAINED INSURANCE AFTER THE FACT.
