Auburn:

University Pool: Take I-85 to Exit 51; turn left onto College Street and go several miles. As you enter the main campus on College Street, turn left at the second stoplight. This is Miller Avenue. It is one street past Samford Street. For some reason, "Miller" becomes "Roosevelt." Go three stoplights down Roosevelt (past the football stadium). After the third stoplight, you will see the basketball coliseum. The pool is behind the coliseum and it's called the "James E. Martin Aquatics Center." (Driving time: About 1 hour 15 minutes.)

Go a few miles toward the University (past at least three stop lights, Wal-Mart and a funky store called Kunnicans). At Samford Street, take a right. Go through the first light and look for the Auburn Middle School on your right. Turn right at the middle school and the pool is about a quarter mile back. If you go through two stop lights on Samford, you've gone too far. (Driving time: About 1 hour 15 minutes.)

Tallassee: Enter Tallassee on Highway 14 heading toward Auburn. Go over the big bridge and take a left at the first light. Go one block and turn left at the stop sign. Follow the road to the pool. (Driving time: About 1 hour.)

Take the next left (8th Street). Sylacauga Parks and Rec will be on your right and the pool will be one block away on the left. (Driving time: About 1 hour 40 minutes.)

Talladega: From Sylacauga, on 21, take a right on Spring Street in Talladega (just before City Square; near Piggly Wiggly). Go two blocks. On the left is the pool, across from the cemetery, by the municipal buildings. This is an INDOOR facility. (Driving time: About 2 hours 15 minutes.)

Troy: Go to Troy on Highway 231. Once in town, turn right on Highway 167 (corner of Burger King and the "Helicopter on a pedestal" statue thingy). Go 1.5 miles and turn left where the SARAH building and Pinkard station are. The Troy Recreation Center is .25 miles down the road.

Opelika: On I-85 to Atlanta, get off on exit 62 and turn left at the top of the exit ramp. Get in the right hand lane immediately and turn right on FOXRUN which is right before the Western Sizzlin' restaurant. Go about 1.6 miles. At the first light, turn left onto SAMFORD Avenue. Go about 1.2 miles. Turn right on 5th Street, which is directly across from Burger King. Go to the end of the road (about a half mile) and the Opelika facility is right in front of you. (Driving time: About 1 hour 40 minutes.)

Valley: Take I-85 to exit 77 past King Ford, go to your right. Go to the first red light and take a right. Go to the top of the hill and turn right on Sports Plex Drive. The Community Center is on your left. (Driving time: About 1 hour 50 minutes.)

Alex City: Go to Wetumpka and take 231 N to Highway 9 (towards Santuck). Follow Highway 9 to Highway 22. Go East on Highway 22 and follow signs to Alexander City. Take a right off Highway 22 onto Highway 280 East, take a left on 7th Way (right by the Russell Factory), take a right onto Sales Office Drive (will be right past the entrance to a parking lot), turn left onto Greenhouse Drive (1st road to the left), take a right at the end of this road onto 5th Way. This will circle around to the pool. (Driving time: About 1 hour 20 minutes.)

Eufaula: Take I-85 to Taylor Road/AUM exit. Make a right at the top of the exit. At the light in front of McDonald's (Vaughan Road), make a left. This will take you to Union Springs, to Highway 82 East. Take this into Eufaula where you will meet Highway 431. Turn left onto 431 N. Go to the first stoplight and turn right onto Lake Drive. Pass the high school on the left and the pool is in the next building on the left. (Driving time: About 2 hours 20 minutes.)
