The City of Prattville maintains its drainage ways on a continuous basis with regular inspections and cleaning at six month intervals. These inspections and cleaning facilitate the downstream movement of water. Please help us by keeping drainage areas free of debris that can choke the flow of water and ultimately lead to damage and loss of property. The dumping of leaves and grass into the storm drains and gutters is a violation of city ordinance. Section 46-66 of the Prattville Municipal Code prohibits the littering of drainage ways and imposes a fine of up to $500 for any violation. Suspected violations should be reported to the Planning Department.
