Memorial Day Schedule

All City offices will be closed on May 27th.
Garbage: Monday & Tuesday's garbage routes will be collected on Tuesday. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday garbage routes will run on their normal schedule.

Trash: Trash collection will resume on Wednesday with Tuesday routes. Once Tuesday's trash routes are completed, they will work on Monday routes. On Thursday, Sanitation will begin with Thursday trash routes. Once completed, they will collect Wednesday trash routes. On Friday, Sanitation with begin with Friday trash routes. Once completed, they will run any routes that have not yet been collected during the week until closing time.

The Sanitation Department observes the following major holidays:

• New Year's Day
• Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday
• Presidents' Day*
• National Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Columbus Day*
• Veterans' Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

*These noted holidays are ones that the Sanitation Department usually chooses to work instead of observing the holiday. There will be a notation of this at the top of the page and on the home page if that is the case.

If a major holiday falls on a Saturday, the Sanitation Department will observe it on the preceding Friday. If the major holiday falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday. Routes not collected due to holidays will be picked up the next business day along with the routes for that day. All routes will be collected the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
