| Mission Statement
The mission of the Leisure Services Department is to provide safe and inviting parks, facilities, and playgrounds for the enjoyment of our citizens; to provide fun, athletic and recreational activities, classes and events, as well as hosting tournaments, which not only add to the quality of life of those who participate, but also have a positive economic impact on our community. Tremendous growth has been made in the Department of Leisure Services, which was formerly known as the Parks and Recreation Department. This department works to ensure that all citizens of Prattville are provided with a host of pleasant parks and a variety of leisure activities to enjoy. Over the past several years, local business and tax dollars have been wisely used to provide new programs and park improvements. Walking trails, resurfaced, lighted tennis courts, ballpark lighting, new playing fields, the new Spring Hill and Overlook Memorial Parks and expanded cultural programs are only a few of the new projects our citizens enjoy.
