| Meth Lab Located - Two Arrested | | | |
| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OCTOBER 13, 2010
The Prattville Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit executed a drug search warrant at 775 Summer Lane in Prattville during the evening hours of Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Agents located a meth production operation inside the residence during the search. Officers trained in handling hazardous materials were called to the scene to process the caustic materials and waste products. The Prattville Fire Department medics also responded for medical evaluation of the six occupants due to prolonged exposure to the fumes produced by the meth production process. Two small children (1 year old and 3 years old) were transported to the Prattville Baptist Emergency Room for further evaluation and later released to Department of Human Resources (DHR). The components of the meth lab were removed by a private environmental agency contracted by the Department of Justice. The case is still under investigation and more arrests are anticipated.
