A Prattville motorcycle officer was injured in a traffic accident on East Main Street around 7:45 Sunday night. Officer Larry McDuffie was traveling on East Main Street when a vehicle pulled out into his path from a drive to Bama Lanes. The motorcycle hit the vehicle behind the driver’s door and the officer was thrown from the motorcycle into the side of the vehicle. The officer was transported to Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery for treatment. The officer is stable and has non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. Because a Prattville Police unit was involved, the Alabama State Troopers are investigating the accident.
