| Prattville Police Officer Injured in Accident | | | |
| News Release - June 2, 2011 Around 1:30 PM, an investigation of felony fraud/theft cases resulted in a suspect being detained and another suspect fleeing in a vehicle. The vehicle was pursued, eventually heading south on US 31 across the river bridge into Montgomery. Just across the river bridge in the construction zone a Prattville Police Unit lost control and flipped over. The other officers stopped the pursuit and assisted the officer in the accident. Montgomery Police Department units made contact with the fleeing vehicle and shortly thereafter took the driver into custody. The Montgomery Police Department investigated the accident. The officer received a laceration to the head and was transported to Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery. The officer checked out okay and was later released from the ER. |
