Several Church Burglaries in Prattville PDF Print E-mail

The Prattville Police Department is investigating several church burglaries.

On November 30th, police officers responded to the Church of Living Water at 435 Shelia Blvd. in reference to a burglary and theft that occurred the night before. Entrance was made into the building and into the church office. Money collected for a fundraiser was reported missing.

On December 2nd at 8:55 PM, police officers responded to the First Pentecostal Church at 879 Washington Ferry Road in reference to an alarm. The front door of the building was found to have been pried open with the dead bolt lock broken. No one was found inside the building and nothing was found missing at that time.

On December 3rd, police officers responded to the Hunting Ridge Church of God at 305 Selma Highway in reference to a burglary and theft that occurred the night before. A ground level door on the south side of the building had the lock forcibly removed. Also, a ground floor window in the rear of the building was broken out. Inside the building, the church office door was kicked in and broken. A small amount of money was missing from a desk drawer.

On December 3rd, police officers responded to the Camellia Baptist Church at 201 Woodvale Road in reference to a burglary and theft that occurred the night before. Entrance was made into the building and several locked offices were entered by prying the doors open. Reported missing was a computer, guitar, and guitar amp.

On December 3rd, police officers responded to the East Memorial Baptist Church at 1320 Old Ridge Road in reference to a burglary and theft that occurred between November 25th and November 30th. The music trailer had been entered and a guitar was reported missing. Also, a desk was rummaged through.
