Mission Statement
The mission of the Special Events and Cultural Arts Department is to encourage and promote cultural affairs and events in the city of Prattville and to foster community participation in the creative and performing arts in order to enhance the quality of life of our citizens.

Special Events is responsible for all of the annual events that take place around the city including, but not limited to, the Christmas Parade, Annual Tree Lighting, Mardi Gras Parade, Independence Day Parade, Independence Day Patriotic Program and Fireworks Display, Halloween Candy Walk, Fountain City Arts Festival, and the Miss Fountain City Scholarship Pageant.

Special Events strives to introduce new and exciting events and programs to offer to our community each year. A few years ago, Special Events Director Kellie Cook established a "Touch a Truck" event, a "Movie Under the Stars" series for the summer as well as the upcoming "Back to School Street Dance."
