| 1. Ages: a. 14 - 18 2. Register: a. Participants must register at the City of Prattville – Department of Leisure Services, located at 424 S. Northington Street. 3. Divisions: a. Singles i. 14 – 18 b. Doubles i. 14 - 18 (both teammates have to be under 18 to be eligible) c. Mixed Doubles i. 14 – 18 (both teammates have to be under 18 to be eligible) 4. Requirements to Play: a. $5.00 per person/$10.00 per team. 5. Matches must be completed within a week a. A week starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday. 6. Challenges Must be as follows: a. Matches don't have to be played in Prattville i. Both parties must agree to play outside of City of Prattville limits. 1. If one party does not agree to play within the City of Prattville limits, they lose the Challenge. ii. If parties can't agree to site and date within that week the following will happen: 1. The lower ranked player will be allowed a challenge from the player directly below him/her. b. Challengers can only come from the player directly next to you in the rankings. For example: You can't challenge #1 if you are #5. You have to work your way up. 7. Match will consist of one eight game pro-set a. Must win by two. 8. Scoring a. Normal USTA scoring will be adhered to. 9. Winning player must call into the office, 361-3640, within a 24 hour period of the match and report the following: a. Winner's Name 10. Equipment: a. The challenger shall be responsible for providing the tennis balls. i. Tennis balls must be in good shape; preferably brand new. b. Each participant should provide his/her own tennis racket. 11. Any disputes will be handled by the Staff of the Prattville Department of Leisure Services. Disputes must be submitted in writing to drew.peterson@prattvilleal.gov within 24 hours of the said dispute. Both parties will be contacted to settle the dispute in a reasonable time frame. 12. Posting of Results: a. The official standings and results of the matches will be posted on this page. |
