NEWS RELEASE – January 22, 2011

A two-vehicle traffic accident around 12:35 Saturday morning on Highway 14 East west of the intersection of Jasmine Trail claimed the life of a 26 year old Prattville woman. Sandra Joyce Gamble of 637 Mimosa Road died at the scene of the accident. Investigation indicates Ms. Gamble was westbound when her vehicle crossed over the eastbound lane onto the shoulder of the roadway. Her vehicle was coming back across the eastbound lane when it was hit in the driver’s door by another vehicle that was eastbound.

The driver of the other vehicle was Mandy Lea Webb, 24 years of age, from Millbrook and the passenger was Samantha Lanier, 20 years of age, from Millbrook. Both were transported to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery with non-life threatening injures. The traffic accident is still under investigation by the Prattville Police Department.
