A yard sale permit may be obtained in the Finance Office in City Hall at 101 West Main Street in downtown Prattville. The cost is $5. Only three permits within a calendar year shall be issued to the citizen and no such permit shall be issued for more than three consecutive calendar days.

It must be located at the residence unless it is a church or non-profit group, which are exempt. No signs may be placed on utility poles, trees, or rights-of-way. Members of more than one residence may join in requesting a permit, but only one permit shall be paid. Each household included in the permit shall be treated as having conducted a yard sale.
