April 18, 2012

The City of Prattville has announced that the Touch a Truck and Movie under the Stars events scheduled for Saturday, April 21st have be cancelled due to the chance inclement weather.

"After an update on the weather, we have made the decision to reschedule these events for Saturday, May 19th," said Kellie Cook, Special Events Director. "We are excited that we will be able to host our events in conjunction with the National Kids to Parks Day event already scheduled for that date."

Children will still be able to touch and explore a variety of vehicles on Saturday, May 19th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Pratt Park, at the 3rd annual "Touch a Truck."

Later that evening families are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs, picnic baskets and blankets and get ready for the City of Prattville's Free Movie under the Stars! "How to Eat Fried Worms" will be shown on a huge inflatable movie screen at the downtown Creekwalk in Prattville. The movie will begin at dark.

Both of these events are free and open to the public. Please contact the Special Events Department at 334-358-0297 for more details.
