Representative Paul Beckman attended the December 6th City Council meeting. His main purpose was to present a check to the City of Prattville.

"December is a month of giving. I've had the luxury of speaking with some of y'all, mostly with our Mayor, and today, it gives me great pleasure to come forward to give you something that typifies the season of giving," said Representative Beckman. "I have a check here in the amount of $6,783 that I'm going to be giving to the City in reference for community grants. I do want to point out it is your tax dollars. It is something that usually, in the past, I could pick out as far as what group got what, but this time I just said, 'well, we're going to give it to the City and let the City put it to good use.' So, here today, Mr. Gillespie, is a check for $6,783. I wish y'all a Merry Christmas and God Bless you!"
