City Arts Council to Honor Best Selling Author Ace Atkins

The Prattville Creative and Performing Arts Council is excited to honor best-selling author Ace Atkins, a talented writer and former football player for the Auburn Tigers. This annual Honoree Dinner is part of the Fountain City Arts Festival Celebration and celebrates a person or group who has made a significant contribution to cultural arts in Alabama.
After graduating from Auburn University, Mr. Atkins worked as a crime reporter for the Tampa Tribune, where he received a Pulitzer nomination for his work. He is a New York Times best-selling author and was chosen by the Robert B. Parker estate to continue Parker’s Spenser detective series. Ace Atkins has written more 19 crime fiction novels.
This celebratory event will be held on Saturday, April 29, at the Marriott Legends at Capitol Hill in Prattville. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased online at www.prattvilleal.gov or by calling the Special Events Office at 334-595-0854. There are also sponsorship opportunities available for individuals, companies, and organizations.
