City of Prattville Employment Opportunities

March 3, 2010

If you are interested in working for the City of Prattville you can now file a job application electronically. The City of Prattville Human Resources Department began accepting employment applications through the NEOGOV Job Applicant Tracking Service on March 1, 2010.  Job Openings, Job Descriptions, Salary Ranges, Benefits Information, and Closing Dates for Job Opportunities are available at

“This is a great program,” Mayor Jim Byard Jr., said. “People can apply from anywhere in the world that has Internet access. You no longer have to come down to city hall during regular business hours. If you are interested in a position that is not currently open, we can e-mail you a note when it does come open. It also allows us to get away from paper applications.”

The city accepts over 1,500 paper employment applications annually. Those applications are valid for one year. Under the new system, applicants who electronically file will get an e-mail alert when their application is about to expire. During the first four days of use the systems shows that 1,312 Job Posting hits were generated, 321 Job Interest Cards were completed, and 78 employment applications were electronically filed.

Several full time positions, as well as the Summer Seasonal Employment Opportunities, are currently listed. For questions regarding employment with the City of Prattville, please visit our website or contact the Human Resources Department at 334-595-0700.
