 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Jamie Hatfield, 334-361-3609 DATE: February 18, 2010 Prattville Mayor Jim Byard, Jr., is proud to announce that Saturday, February 27, 2010, will be “Roman Harper Day” in the city. Mr. Harper, a native of Prattville, is a safety with the Super Bowl Champion, New Orleans Saints. He was a standout athlete for both Prattville High School and the University of Alabama prior to going to the NFL. Mr. Harper will join friends, family and supporters at the Doster Memorial Community Center from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for autographs. The event is free and open to the public. Citizens are reminded to bring items to be autographed. “I look forward to seeing and congratulating Roman as he comes home to Prattville,” said Mayor Jim Byard, Jr. “Roman is not only a Super Bowl Champion, but more importantly, he is a role model for both young and old,” he continued. Beef O’Bradys will be onsite with food and beverages for purchase during this event. Several proclamations will be presented to Mr. Harper at noon. ROMAN HARPER DAY |
