On February 7, 2012, the Prattville City Council appointed Denise B. Brown to fill the vacant seat in District 3. She was sworn in immediately after Council passed the Resolution.

Councilwoman Brown has been the Ministry Director for Autauga Interfaith Care Center since 2006. In her position with AICC, she is responsible for management of daily operations. Denise earned a B.S. in Marketing at the School of Commerce & Business Administration at the University of Alabama in 1987. Denise's community involvement includes service as an Advisory Committee Member of the Autauga Area Community Foundation; service on the City of Prattville Arts Council; functioning as a Vestry Member of St. Mark's Church; being a Charter Member of the Krewe of Athena, also serving as President in 2005-2006; and service as a Board Member for the Autauga County Cotillion.

"I am honored and humbled to be selected for the District 3 City Council seat," said Councilwoman Denise Brown. "I look forward to working with the Mayor and the City Council, and will work hard to represent the residents of District 3."
