Honor Flight River Region Welcome Home

The River Region Honor Flight announces its final Flight’s Welcome Home Party this Saturday, (August 21, 2010). Join in the celebration, and help welcome 75 World War II veterans and their guardian’s home from an exciting day visiting the World War II Memorial and other sites in our Nation’s Capital.

The Welcome Home Party begins at 5:00 p.m. at Montgomery Regional Airport – Dannelly Field. Free parking is provided by the Montgomery Airport Authority. The Prattville Pops will provide the pre-landing entertainment. The flight is scheduled to land with a Heroes’ welcome at 6:30 p.m.

“I hope folks will join us as we, once again, welcome another flight of World War II heroes home,” said Prattville Mayor Jim Byard, Jr., Chairman of the River Region Honor Flight. “This is always a wonderful event,” he continued.
