Judge Colley Earns Governor's Award PDF Print E-mail

judgecolley12-2011On November 16th, Judge Louis Colley received a Governor's Award in the Judicial Category.

Louis was nominated by Autauga County PALS (People Against a Littered State).

Judge Colley partnered with Autauga County PALS to begin "Clean Up for Community Service Hours." He assigned roadside miles for litter cleanup as community service hours for violators appearing before him in the City of Prattville's Municipal Court.

Colley has issued 10-50 hours depending on the offense. Autauga County's Solid Waste Office verifies that the streets or highways have received a full cleaning on both sides of the thoroughfare before signing off on the community service sheet.

To date, 199.7 hours have been assigned equating to 50.3 miles; 31.8 miles have been completed.

Congratulations, Judge Louis Colley, on your award and for your creativity on the job that benefits our entire community!
