Dear Friends,

As Sunday approaches, I want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas, a happy Hanukkah, and a joyful Kwanzaa, whichever blessed event is celebrated by you and yours.

As the year comes to a close, it occurs to me that 2011 has gone by in a flash. Our lives have changed much in the past twelve months. We have grown as a community through the difficulties and challenges that have confronted us. With unified passage of the budget on Tuesday evening, we now have the opportunity to focus on future goals.

Staying positive in the face of adversity is not easy. For that reason and many others, I extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you for your support during this past year. Your ideas, concerns, fresh perspective, and willingness to work alongside me have greatly contributed to the progress we have made. Some of that support has been through City employees and special committees (i.e., Autauga Creek Improvement Committee, Pratt Pool Committee, etc.); to these individuals and groups, I say thank you.

I can't say enough how appreciative I am that we have pulled together as a community to better our financial health and quality of life. We have established a rapport, a closeness that will serve us well as we continue to move forward to accomplish our collective objectives.

Thank you to those of you who have prayed for me, our Council, and this great City. May God bless you, your family, and all of Prattville.
