| Mayor Jim Byard Announces Appointment of Executive Assistant |  |  |  |
 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DATE: December 29, 2009 Prattville Mayor Jim Byard, Jr. announced today that Sheila Smith Morrissette will become his Executive Assistant effective January 4, 2010. Morrissette comes to the Mayor’s Office from the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Department. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Montevallo. As Executive Assistant to the Mayor, Morrissette will serve as a confidential assistant and advisor to the Mayor, as well as be responsible for the management of the Mayor’s office which includes coordination of communications and scheduling. “Having worked with her, I know firsthand that Sheila is a seasoned professional with solid judgment,” said Mayor Byard. “With her addition to our leadership team, I am confident that we will continue making progress on our agenda of moving Prattville forward. I am proud to welcome and introduce Sheila to our City of Prattville family,” he continued. Also on that date, Ms. Jamie Hatfield will resume her duties as Secretary to the Mayor. |
