No Bullying Event Held to Standing Room Only Crowd PDFPrintE-mail

The First United Methodist Church sanctuary was filled to capacity for the No Bullying Town Hall event on March 10, 2010. Miss Fountain City Jessica Brookshire spoke extensively about her experiences, her platform K.A.R.M.A. (Kids Against Ridicule, Meanness, and Aggression) and how her organization came to be.

Tina Meier, founder of meganmeierfoundation.org, talked about how her daughter, Megan, lost her life to cyber-bullying.

This event succeeding in demonstrating the seriousness of this issue. Rather than try to generate an article that does it justice, the video is available below. The City of Prattville thanks Tina Meier for traveling to our community and also Miss Fountain City Jessica Brookshire for her platform and her connections to and work with Tina Meier.
