DATE: June 9, 2010

Prattville Mayor Jim Byard, Jr. announced that beginning Monday, June 14, 2010, the City’s Sanitation Crews will begin garbage pick-up one hour earlier than the usual collection time.

“Our Sanitation crews start daily routes at 7:00 a.m. but due to summer heat conditions, crews will begin their routes at 6:00 a.m. We will return to our normal 7:00 a.m. pickup on Tuesday, September 7th,(after Labor Day),” said Mayor Byard. “Temperatures and humidity levels are high by mid-morning, so this time change allows our men to start when it’s cooler and will allow them to finish their routes sooner,” he continued.

Should a resident encounter a problem with pick-up they should contact the Prattville Sanitation Department at 361-3611.
