Prattville Kicks Off Creekwalk Concert Series on June 12 with Cotton Bird

Join us on the Autauga Creekwalk as the City of Prattville kicks off its Summer Concert Series on Tuesday, June 12, with Cotton Bird. Cotton Bird is an indie pop band with members from across central Alabama, performing both original music and an array of covers.

The concert will start at 6:30pm on the beautiful Autauga Creekwalk behind City Hall, just off South Chestnut Street. There will be food vendors so you can have a snack as you enjoy the music, vibrant sunset, and soothing waters of Autauga Creek. Some of the shops and eateries of the Historic Downtown area will stay open a little later for your eating and shopping pleasure.

Before the concert, come out for a demonstration of cotton ginning with an 1886 Daniel Pratt Gin. The Autauga County Heritage Association will host a display of gin shop artifacts and activities beginning at 2:00 p.m., with ginning on the hour until the concert starts. This Alabama 200 bicentennial event is perfect for the entire family and a great way to experience a part of Prattville’s history.

Mark your calendars and make plans to come out for all four concerts:

June 12 – Cotton Bird
June 26 – Abigail Douglas
July 10 – Souled Out
July 24 – OTI

This concert and the ginning event are free and open to the public. For more information about this or other events in Prattville, contact the Special Events Office at 334-595-0854 or visit
