|Prattville Soccer Players Make All-Stars Teams|
The City of Prattville has made its way to Dothan! The Prattville Department of Leisure Services finished its Fall Soccer League followed by the distinct honor of preparing for all-star play.
Eighteen City soccer players were selected from each age group (U9, U11, U13, U15, U18) to represent Prattville in All-Star play. These teams went to Sylacauga on November 7 to compete against teams within District V (Opelika, Childersburg, Talladega, Phenix City, Sylacauga, and Lincoln) for the right to advance to the state Alabama Recs and Parks Association (ARPA) Soccer Tournament.
Prattville All-Stars made a great showing with District wins by the U11’s and U13’s as well as the second place finishes by the U9’s and U15’s. The U18 team automatically advanced to the state tournament. This means that all five teams qualified and will be participating in the state tournament against teams from all over the state of Alabama.
Congratulations to our teams for a great showing at the District V ARPA Soccer Tournament! Good luck at the State ARPA Tournament being held in Dothan, Alabama on November 21-22!
