RIVER REGION HONOR FLIGHT TO HOST REUNION

The River Region Honor Flight will begin Military Appreciation Week by hosting a reunion of all World War II veterans and guardians who have flown on the first three Honor Flights. The reunion will be Sunday, November 8, 2009, at the Doster Center in Prattville from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

“This is an opportunity for our WW II heroes and guardians to get together for an afternoon of fellowship and memories,” said Honor Flight Chairman and Prattville Mayor Jim Byard, Jr. “I am looking forward to seeing the men and women of the Greatest Generation and our guardians at the reunion,” he continued. The River Region Honor Flight has organized three Honor Flights in which WW II veterans are flown to Washington DC to visit the WW II Memorial and other points of interest. The next Honor Flight is scheduled for spring of 2010.
