Prattville Mayor Jim Byard, Jr., has announced that new signage will alert motorists of the City of Prattville’s recently enacted law that bans texting while driving. The law passed last month by the Prattville City Council, takes effect on Thursday, July 1, 2010.

“Motorists will see non-traditional signs that are meant to get their attention and remind them that texting while driving is against the law in our city,” said Mayor Byard. “Educating folks of the dangers of texting while driving will make our roadways safer and save lives,” he continued.
