Back to School Street Dance

Prattville soon will be dancing to the tunes of local talent at its 5th Annual Back to School Dance! The excitement of starting back to school will kick off with a big dance party in Downtown Prattville at the Creekwalk behind City Hall on Friday, August 16, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. This year's street party will feature JT and Leanne from MIX 103.3.

In addition to dancing to the music, families can enjoy a variety of foods from local vendors and children can play for free on the inflatables provided by Spacewalker. Bring your blankets or lawn chairs and your own cooler and picnic basket if you prefer, but no alcoholic beverages or glass containers are allowed.

"We want to close the summer with a blast!" said Parks and Recreation Director Kellie Cook. Every summer, the City of Prattville provides a number of free activities for families and this year has been no exception. "We have had a Movie Under the Stars event, art activities, a huge 4th of July celebration and this is just one more thing for our citizens to enjoy."
