PRATTVILLE 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
2015 Schedule of Events

15th Annual Independence Day Parade

The City of Prattville has announced that this year’s 4th of July Parade theme is “Salute to Law Enforcement Personnel.” In appreciation for their service, the Prattville Independence Day Celebration Committee is honoring all current and retired Autauga County and City of Prattville law enforcement employees as Grand Marshals at the Independence Day Parade and Fireworks Event, on Monday, July 4th. Karl Wade, retired State Trooper, will serve as the special honoree. All Veterans wishing to take part in the Prattville Independence Day events need to make reservations by June 20, 2016. Please contact the City of Prattville Special Events Office at (334) 595-0851 to RSVP.

The 4th of July parade will be held on Monday, July 4th. The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Autauga County Courthouse and will end at Stanley-Jensen Stadium. The community is encouraged to participate in this free parade.

Annual Lion’s Club BBQ & Cardboard Boat Races

After the parade, join the fun at the annual Lion’s Club BBQ and Camp Stew Sale at Pratt Park. Music, a patriotic program, a children’s fun area and lots of arts and crafts. 10 am – 3:00 p.m. Free admission.

The Annual Cardboard Boat Races always makes a splash! The fun begins at 10 a.m., with teams creating their competition boats out of cardboard and duct tape. Prizes include: Longest floating boat, the Titanic award for the most dramatic sink, Most Creative and more. Get a team together or just come watch all the fun. Severe Weather and Fire Safety Training

The Prattville Fire Department will have their Life Safety Trailer on display at Pratt Park from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Bring your children by to learn important safety tips through hands-on activities. Children will learn what to do in case of a fire, severe weather, and more.

Fireworks Presentation

The annual fireworks presentation will be held at Stanley-Jensen Stadium. Gates open at 6pm with a concert by the band “Creativity.” Fireworks begin at dark. The admission to this spectacular event is FREE and the public is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. NO pets or bottles are allowed.
