PRATTVILLE INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2010 Schedule of Events
9th Annual Independence Day Parade
At 9:00 a.m. on July 3rd, family members of all ages will enjoy the fire engines, clowns, floats, horses and more. Bring your lawn chair and set up early for a good spot along the parade route. The one mile route goes through downtown and ends at Pratt Park. Roads will be closed during the parade. Restrooms available at Prattville City Hall. For information, call 358-0297.
Annual Lion’s Club BBQ & Cardboard Boat Races
After the parade on July 3rd, join the fun at the annual Lion’s Club Barbecue and Camp Stew Sale at Pratt Park. Live entertainment, a children’s fun area and lots of arts and crafts! 10 am – 3:00 p.m. Free admission. Call 334-358-0297. Vendor note: Arts & Crafts Registration form is contained in drop down above and is a fillable form you can then print and mail with your fees.
The Annual Cardboard Boat Races always makes a splash! The fun begins at 10 am. when teams create their competition boats out of cardboard and two rolls of duct tape. Prizes include: Longest floating boat, The Titanic award for the most dramatic sink, Most Creative and more. Get a team together or just come watch all the fun. Fireworks Spectacular and Patriotic Program
Get ready for a lot of “oohs and “aahs” as the spectacular fireworks display begins at dark on July 4th at Stanley-Jensen Stadium. Come early and get a great seat or bring your own lawn chair. No pets, alcoholic beverages or glass containers allowed. Gates open at 6:00 pm. Enjoy food and beverage vendors, a D.J. and a live patriotic program by The Prattville Pops orchestra and The Community Chorus. Admission is free.
