City of Prattville’s 6th Annual
Mardi Gras Parade
“Hometown Mardi Gras”

 

Dear Prospective Parade Participants:

The 2010 Prattville Mardi Gras Parade will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 3:00 p.m. The theme: Hometown Mardi Gras. Decorations of entries: anything that makes you think of your hometown. Use your imagination and have fun.

Space is Limited!

Due to overwhelming response, the entries will be on a first-come first-serve basis.  Your order in the parade will be determined by your arrival time at the Courthouse the day of the event.  There will be a few reserved spots at the front of the parade for the Krewe of Athena Queen, the Krewe float, the Grand Marshal and those of elected officials.

The parade route is as follows: Autauga County Courthouse, Left on 4th Street, Left on Washington Street, Right on Wetumpka Street, Right on Northington Street, Right on Main Street, through downtown and ending at the Autauga Co. Court House.

If your organization, church, school, or business would like to participate in the Mardi Gras Parade, please complete the attached registration form.  Entries require a $15.00 fee. Horse Groups will require an additional $5.00 fee PER HORSE, with horses being “bagged” to ride. Due to space limitations, businesses will be allowed no more than 2 entries, to allow others the opportunity to participate.

The deadline for entries is January 22nd at 5:00 p.m. All entries are required to be decorated in an appropriate Mardi Gras theme.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!
