Annual Cardboard Boat Race
Boaters save large boxes and anything cardboard that will make their boats float (no wax coated or painted boxes). Racers are also allowed to use 2 standard rolls of duct tape & 2 noodles. All boats must be assembled on site with a set time limit. Any boat made before start time will not be accepted for the race.
Categories: “Fastest Time”, “Most Creative Design”, “Floats The Best”, “Titanic”, (most dramatic sink 1st place winner only) “Largest Boat”, Floating the best, creative design & holding the most people while floating in the pool, at least 5 minutes. No limit on participants building or riding the boat in “Largest Boat” category only. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies presented for all other categories. Rules and regulations available at time of registration. Register at the Doster Center prior to the event.
when: The 2014 event will be held on July 4 after the Independence Day parade.
where: Pratt Pool • $5 per boat

Gigantic Flea Market (Quarterly Event)
This is a great way to get rid of good but no longer needed items and think of the extra spending money you could make!
when: Set up Friday; Sale Saturday, 6:00am-noon (Check dates quarterly on our calendar or the home page)
where: Doster Center
36 booths available: (24) indoor 12’x15’, (7) indoor 10’x10’ and (7) 10’x12’ outdoor booths. Items not allowed to be sold on the premises are: guns, weapons, tobacco or alcohol. Rules & regulations given at registration. $10 for indoor booths, $5 for outside booths. Spaces go fast!
