The Prattville Parks and Recreation Department and the Prattville YMCA have sponsored the Prattville Swim League (PSL) competitive swimming team for several decades.  This award-winning program competes state-wide over the summer and is consistently among the top five summer league teams in all of Alabama.

PSL Summer Swimming offers Alabama Recreation and Parks Association (ARPA), USA Swimming, and YMCA competition all on one team and this is unlike any team in the country. 

PSL Summer Swimming program begins May 15th and lasts until July 22^nd.

Registration is at the Don M. Smith Branch YMCA (334-365-8852) beginning 

April 10th (YMCA membership NOT required). Fees vary according to the practice group swimmers are assigned to.  A parent handbook will be provided upon registration. Practices are offered in the mornings and evenings, with between eight and ten practices available weekly depending on practice group. There are four regular season swimming meets and two championship meets. 

Swimmers new to the program must be evaluated to determine appropriate practice group PRIOR TO REGISTRATION. Evaluation Schedule: 

May 2, 4, 9,11 at the Bradford Branch from 5:15pm-6:15pm

May 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25 at Pratt Pool from 6:15pm-7:15pm)
