On Saturday, March 9th, plan to tantalize your taste buds while benefiting not only your stomach but the needs of our community at the Tasty Creations Soup Cook Off. The Prattauga Art Guild is partnering with the Autauga Interfaith Care Center for a fundraising event to help replenish the food bank after the holiday needs were met.

A small monetary donation or a donation of non-perishable food items for the food bank gains you admission to this soup soiree and the chance to taste the temptations of the best cooks in the area with their favorite soups.

Enjoy soup in a handmade bowl created especially for this event by a local artist. For a donation of $10, $12, or $15 to the event, you will not only enjoy hot soup on a cool March afternoon, but will be able to take home an original work of art by one of our featured artists or by one of our many participating members of the Prattauga Art Guild.

The Gallery at the Prattville Creative Arts Center will feature an exhibit of clay and wood works by local artists Sarita Gish, Peggy Raines, Aimee Harbin and Ladonna Idell. This exhibit represents a variety of artistic styles by the artists and will be on exhibit throughout the month of March.

The Gallery is located at the Prattville Creative Arts Center at 342 Chestnut Street in historic Downtown Prattville and is a short walk from the quaint shops downtown. It is also adjacent to the beautiful Prattville Creek Walk and gardens. For more information about the Soup Cook Off or about the exhibit, contact the Special Events Office at 334/358-0297.
